Trumpette baby socks sizes 0 to 12 months were recalled on April 10, 2013 because of reports that the bows or flowers on said socks detached from the socks, causing a potential risk of choking in babies.
The recall involves Trumpette’s “Aubree’s” and “Hearts” brands, which were sold in packets of six pair. The flowers and the bows on these particular socks detach, posing a choking hazard for small children. Individuals who purchased these socks may obtain a full refund by contacting Trumpette, ad www.trumpette.com or by calling them at 877-938-7265. About 33,000 pair in all were sold.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has reported many baby products being recalled due to safety issues in recent years, including Classic Characters infant socks. These socks posed a hazard as the stitched face and feet could become detached, leaving it possible for a baby or young child to swallow the parts.
